You may be surprised to learn that from Monday at 8 AM through Friday at 12 PM, our focus at With Grace and Gold is 100% on our Clients! Why? As a small business, we know how important it is to provide a wonderful Client Experience. A wonderful Client Experience is not only a demonstration of our love and care, but it is also one way to be referred to when a friend or family member of your Client is in need. Loving on our Clients is not only the heart of our business, but it’s also a way for us to keep doing business and to have longevity. That’s why, today, we are sharing 5 ways to put your Clients first!
Loving on our Clients is not only the heart of our business, but it’s also a way for us to keep doing business.
5 Ways to Put Your Clients First
- Put your Clients first in your mind. How many of us have had those very busy weeks, in which every e-mail feels like a to-do? In which every to-do feels like a burden? The truth is, running a business can be exhausting… but our attitude can help us begin again with a renewed sense of purpose. You have the power to put your Clients first in your mind: to see every Client as a friend, to see every Client as a key relationship, to see every Client as someone you are loving on and investing in. Everything begins with attitude, so be sure your heart and your brain are in the right place!
- Plan your Client Experience with purpose. What ways are you showing your Clients you love them? One fun way is through gift-giving. Are you sending a “Welcome” gift? Are you sending a “Congratulations” gift? Build your Client Experience into your process with purpose. That way, putting your Clients first is already part of your process.
- Use Project Management software. One reason businesses have trouble growing is due to a lack of organization. Use a project Management software, like 17 Hats, to get organized and create tried-and-true processes for your business operation. When your business operation is organized and seamless, your Clients can come first. (Without organization, getting organized will always be a priority instead!)
- Schedule your Social Media and Blog Posts. We were recently reminded of something: “You do not need to have a large social media following to have a successful business.” Often times, we buy into the myth that having a large following will mean our business is doing better; this simply is not the case! You can have a successful business by offering a meaningful Client Experience, by producing good work, and by staying true to the heart of your business and brand. On Friday afternoons, we schedule our Social Media and Blog Posts for the following week. That way, we’re not distracted by our marketing throughout the week and can focus 100% on our Clients! We highly recommend Buffer and Latergramme for scheduling!
- Go above and beyond. During college, I participated in the Disney College Program — which forever shaped how I view Customer Service and Guest Service. I feel so passionately about going above and beyond to provide a ‘magical’ experience for every Client – but I know that in order to do so, I have to master Steps 1-4 listed above. Find ways to get to know your Client and to surprise them in unexpected and meaningful ways. If they mention something they love or get excited about — jot it down! You may come across the perfect “just because” gift to send them!
We hope these 5 steps will help you to put your Clients first and to create an experience like no other! While there may be other businesses in your field, one way you can differentiate yourself is through a purposeful and loving Client Experience!
