3 Ways to Automate Your Blog

Schedule Your Blog Posts.  This is something we swear by.  At the beginning of every month, I schedule every post for the entire month ahead. This requires batching our tasks — allowing us to focus wholeheartedly on the housekeeping and marketing areas of our business, and then switch focus to client-focused work.

How It’s Done:  In WordPress, you’ll see a “Publish” area in the top right area of your window.  Rather than publishing immediately, enter in a date and time for scheduling your blog post, and click “OK.” Your “Publish” button will change to “Schedule.”  Click “Schedule” and you’re all set!

Schedule Your Social Media Posts:  Likewise, you can schedule your social media posts, by connecting your social media profiles to your blog.

How It’s Done: In WordPress, connect your social media profiles to your blog.  When your post is published, it will generate a post on each of your connected profiles. Another way is to use resources like Planoly (Instagram), Tailwind (Pinterest), or Buffer (All Platforms) to schedule non-blog related social media posts.

Schedule Everything Else: There are a variety of websites and platforms available for scheduling your blog posts and social media posts.  If you do not use WordPress, or if you are simply interested in using a different resource, here are a few to use.  (Some require a paid subscription!)
