5 Ways to Boost Every Blog Post

1. Connect with Facebook.  Share your blog post on Facebook once or twice per day. Share your blog post with an photo and link — or with an excerpt from the blog post. Bringing people to your blog is all about forming a meaningful connection and letting visitors know why your blog post should be read. (In the end, every blog post you write should be written to serve your audience directly – so let them know how they are being helped by reading your post!)
2. Connect with Twitter. Twitter is an awesome tool for sharing bits and pieces of information — along with links! Share your blog post on Twitter once or twice per day, along with a brief tid-bit from your post. Share something enticing, or a call-to-action to encourage your audience to read your post. (It’s natural to want to say “I wrote a new post today!” — but what can you say to encourage your audience to actually click and read?)
3. Connect with Instagram.  Instagram is our favorite social media platform!  On Instagram, you can provide a meaningful and engaging message and use up to 30 #hashtags to connect with a wider audience. Instagram Stories can also provide a means for you to talk about or showcase your blog post.
4. Connect with Pinterest.  A surprising amount of traffic can come from Pinterest. We recommend creating a unique, eye-catching graphic to share your blog post.  Pin the blog post more than once. (Our favorite tool for pinning pins is Tailwind!) If you practice this for every blog post you write, you’ll be sure to increase readership – because re-pinned pins allow your audience to flourish!
5. Use your personal connections.  When we share something especially exciting, we take to our personal social media profiles to share our blog post. Chances are, you’re friends with fellow business owners who can spread the word about your content!
6. Bonus: Use categories, tags, and Yoast SEO. If you blog using WordPress like we do, always remember to use the categories, tags, and Yoast SEO plugin to truly boost your blog post from the inside out. Categories, tags, and SEO keywords can make a major difference in the way your blog posts are discovered!
