This week at With Grace and Gold, we have a couple of very exciting announcements:
- First, since September of 2022, we’ve been working on a new brand and web design of our own. Because our clients’ businesses are always our top priority, we’ve been working evenings and weekends since September of 2022 to bring our new brand and web design to life. As you likely know, being a small business owner is a unique balance of working in and working on your business — but we feel peace of mind knowing our clients’ businesses remained our top priority while we worked on a project of our own behind-the-scenes. Now, you can view our all new website at withgraceandgold.com — complete with a new video, new photography, new copywriting, and a new brand and web design. We’ve redesigned every detail from top to bottom to better align with our experience, expertise, and goals — and we hope you find our new online space to be user-friendly, encouraging, and a truly helpful resource as you grow your business.
- Next, all of the Showit website templates available in our Shop will permanently retire on February 28, 2023 — so all Showit website templates are currently 75% off. This upcoming spring, an all-new Spring 2023 Collection will arrive — a collection of all-new, elevated, luxury, fine art-inspired Showit website templates for creative founders.
These projects of our own have inspired this week’s episode — which is all about how to tell it’s time to pursue a new brand and web design. We’re sharing exactly what to look for in your business — including what we discovered about our own business — as you consider pursuing a new brand and web design.

How to Tell It’s Time to Pursue a New Brand and Web Design
Whether your small business is brand new, or you’ve been in business for years, it’s likely you have made adjustments to your business over time: Maybe you’ve added to or pared down your products and services, maybe you’ve refined your client experience so your process is more streamlined, or maybe you’ve spruced up your website little by little.
Because so much of small business ownership is self-directed, it can be challenging to know when the best time to take action is: When is the right time to hire an administrative assistant? Do I need to hire a professional for help with social media marketing? When is the best time to pursue a new brand and web design?
Today, we’re excited to share what to look for in your business to determine it’s time to pursue a new brand and web design… signs that we took note of and followed ourselves as we pursued a new brand and web design for our business.
- It’s time to pursue a new brand and web design, when you don’t feel as though your current online presence accurately reflects your expertise or the quality and caliber of your work. Oftentimes, when speaking with prospective clients at With Grace and Gold, I hear a similar reflection: That you have raised your prices or are hoping to raise your prices, that you’re looking toward booking higher-end clientele, that you’ve begun doing really high-quality — even luxury work — but your brand and web design don’t align with the quality of work you’re capable of producing. As a result, prospective clients don’t see the work you’re capable of producing, and you’re attracting clients different from who you’re hoping to attract. It’s a cycle that somehow only seems solvable by pursuing a new brand and web design — something foundational you can work from to ensure your online presence is rooted in purpose and designed to showcase your expertise in a connection-driven way.
- When you’re ready to raise your prices, but your current brand and web design don’t create the foundation for doing so. Similarly, if you are holding onto a backlog of beautiful work you’ve done, or you’ve held off on raising your prices because your brand and web design don’t quite create the foundation you need — this can be a helpful indication that it’s the right time to pursue a new brand and web design.
- When you no longer feel excited to update your Portfolio or Blog — because your current web design doesn’t support or align with your vision. There is something so special and enjoyable about having a web design you feel excited to use, update, and maintain. While we might be biased in thinking making website updates is fun — we believe making website updates is more fun with a web design that feels more aligned with your vision and goals.
- When you technically can’t make updates to your current web design. One additional problem you may have encountered is — maybe your current web design platform doesn’t empower and equip you to make your desired updates to your website. For clients of With Grace and Gold, we create a personalized Training Video so you are equipped to make any and all update you’d like to — specifically those to photography, galleries, and copywriting. That way, as your body of work evolves, as your prices change, or as any detail of your business gets updated, you can ensure your web design reflects those updates, too. Best of all, most updates are made with just a double-click.
- When you feel ready to begin a new chapter in your business — where all of the details of your business feel like they’re in alignment. Overall, you might just feel ready to begin new season in your business — where your brand feels more closely aligned with your personality, approach, and expertise, and where your web design actually works on your behalf to lead and guide your visitors toward confidently booking your products or purchasing your services.
For all of these reasons and more, choosing to pursue a new brand and web design isn’t so much about the age of your business — but about the goals you have for your business, and whether your current brand and web design are working to achieve those goals. We believe having a purpose-driven brand and web design is about more than having an online presence, but about knowing what is being presented about your business is truly equipping you for success and helping to move your business forward.
