Defining SEO

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the level to which your website can be found via a search engine, like Google. According to Red Revolution, “Search Engine Optimization or SEO is the simple activity of ensuring a website can be found in search engines for words and phrases relevant to what the site is offering.”

So, for example, if you’re a photographer, offering a specific style or type of wedding photography, in a given city or state — these key details about your business can be used to build your SEO, and therefore, increase your likelihood of being found via a search engine.

With many customers and consumers searching for businesses or vendors via Google, it’s especially important for you to ensure SEO is part of your everyday business practices. After all, why not try your best to be found via search engines — in addition to your everyday marketing efforts?
