A New Year, A Clearer Intention
There’s something about the start of a new year that naturally invites reflection — not in a rushed, goal-setting way, but in a quieter, more intentional one.
Instead of asking What should we do more of this year? we’ve been asking something different:
What kind of business do we actually want to be building now?
After more than a decade at With Grace and Gold, the answer isn’t about doing more, expanding faster, or piling on new offers. It’s about balance. Sustainability. And building a business that can support both meaningful work and real life.
What’s Staying: Our Custom Brand and Web Design Experience
First, and most importantly: our Custom Brand and Web Design Experience isn’t going anywhere.
This work has always been at the heart of what we do — deeply collaborative, thoughtful, and personal. We still love partnering closely with clients, crafting brands and websites with intention, and walking alongside business owners during pivotal seasons of growth.
One-on-one services continue to be a meaningful part of our business, and we’re committed to offering them in a way that honors both our clients and our creative energy.
What’s Evolving: How We Serve and Scale
As our business — and our lives — have evolved, so has our approach to growth.
This year, we’re being more intentional about how we balance hands-on services with scalable offers that allow us to serve more creatives without stretching ourselves thin.
That looks like opening enrollment for The Showit Shop System intentionally and only at select times throughout the year, so we can fully support designers when doors are open; continuing to grow The Showit Design Library into a core, long-term offering — a practical, accessible resource designed to support Showit users and designers at every stage; and building stronger passive and semi-passive income streams at lower price points, creating more flexibility and sustainability long-term.
This isn’t about replacing services — it’s about creating an ecosystem that allows different ways to work with us, depending on season, budget, and needs.
Why Balance Has Become the Priority
For a long time, growth was synonymous with more: more clients, more offers, more output.
But experience teaches you something important — a business can be successful and still feel heavy.
Balance, for us, now means designing offers that support longevity, protecting creative energy, serving clients deeply and sustainably, and building systems that make growth feel lighter, not louder.
This shift isn’t dramatic or reactive. It’s thoughtful. Intentional. And rooted in long-term stewardship of the business we’ve spent years building.
A Gentle Reminder for Fellow Creative Business Owners
If you’re reading this and quietly wondering whether your own business needs to evolve, here’s what we hope you hear:
You’re allowed to change your mind.
You’re allowed to refine what growth looks like.
You’re allowed to build something different than you once did.
You don’t have to choose between impact and sustainability.
You don’t have to choose between depth and scale.
And you don’t have to keep building the same business forever just because it once worked.
Growth doesn’t always mean more. Sometimes it means better.
Looking Ahead
As we move through this year, our focus is simple: build a business that supports beautiful work, thoughtful growth, and a life we actually want to be present for.
Through custom design, education, resources, and community, our goal remains the same — to help creative business owners build brands and businesses with clarity, intention, and confidence.
And we’re excited to do it in a way that feels balanced, sustainable, and aligned — now and for years to come.
