Welcome to Episode 099 of The Brand It, Build It Podcast! So, when your vision for your business changes and evolves, it’s only natural for the strategy and intention behind your web design to align with your vision. Here are the questions we recommend asking and the approaches we use when creating an elevated, yet welcoming, conversion-focused web design to connect with high-end clients:

  1. First, ask yourself if you’re ready to elevate your business as a whole. To successfully reach and connect with a new type of client, we believe every detail of your business needs to evolve, too. Your brand design, web design, copywriting, marketing, and more all need to point in the same direction — having the same focus, style, and language. As you look toward elevating your business and connecting with a new type of client, consider all of the facets of your business — all of the ways your business is present online, all of the ways you market your business, all of the services and products you offer. We believe elevating means lifting every area of your business up, so it’s important to examine each area of your business and to prepare for a fresh, new season in business, in every sense. 
  2. Next, ask yourself if you’re willing and open to trying something completely new. Elevating your business and reaching a new type of client will likely mean pursuing a brand and web design unlike the brand and web design you’re accustomed to. This is one reason reason we begin every design process from a completely blank canvas — so we can ensure every detail of your brand and web design is deeply rooted in your vision and goals. (We share more about this in Episode 030.) When elevating your business as a whole and when reaching a new type of client, your brand and web design may look different from what you had expected — but will be aligned with your goals. Therefore, it’s essential to balance your expectations with your goals, to ensure you come away with a design created for success.
  3. Third, we recommend pursuing your brand, web design, photography, and copywriting — every detail of your web design — with your high-end clients in mind. When you approach every detail of your online presence from a place of service — a place of wanting to serve, guide, and help your prospective clients, something we discuss in Episode 098 — each detail can come together with purpose. 
  4. Fourth, when it comes to your web design as a whole, we believe in using a “less is more” approach. We often recommend choosing photos and videos with purpose and strategy — choosing photos and videos aligned with the type of client you’d like to serve. We recommend paring down copywriting, so the copywriting used within your web design is strong and focused — helping your visitors to see the value of your services or products. We believe a more focused design can help to better communicate your values and value — and better connect with high-end clients as a result.
  5. Lastly, we recommend hiring professionals when needed. Whether you choose to work with a professional brand or web designer, or hire a professional copywriter, having a third-party look at your business from the outside in and the inside out, can make all the difference. Others see value in and features of our businesses we are sometimes unable to, simply because we’re immersed in the day to day workings of our businesses. Hiring professionals when needed can help you to reach your goals more efficiently and with greater accuracy — helping you to begin a new, more elevated season in your business sooner.
