Now, onto today’s topic: Over the past 7 years, With Grace and Gold has provided brand and web design services for diverse small businesses from all over the world. And from one year to another, we’ve noticed how our clients’ visions and goals have evolved — and therefore, how our approach to web design has changed and evolved, too. This week, we’re sharing 3 web design predictions for 2022 — a few overarching approaches we foresee for web design in the year ahead.
3 Web Design Predictions for 2022
Welcome to Episode 094 of the Brand It, Build It Podcast: 3 Web Design Predictions for 2022. Since 2014, we’ve been honored to serve more than 500 small businesses through brand and web design. Rather than have a specific design style, our goal is to meet each of our clients where they are in their business journey and create an elevated, one-of-a-kind design rooted in connection, growth, and business success.
That’s why, within our Portfolio, we want our visitors to see how each design is truly a reflection of the business owner behind it — how each web design uniquely aligns with the personality, style, and approach of each business owner. We want our visitors to see how specific goals can be achieved no matter their desired brand or web design style.
As we look back on the past 7 years, we’ve noticed how, from one year to another, our clients’ goals have changed, and therefore, the way we’ve approached design has changed. Now, as we look toward a new year, we can already sense how our approach to web design will differ from years ago. Here are 3 web design predictions we have for 2022. Of course, these are only our fun predictions — and, truly, anything can happen! However, maybe these predictions will create a spark of creativity or prompt you to approach your web design in a fresh, new way!
- Less copywriting, and more purposeful typography. Lately, our clients have been sharing their vision for a clean web design — a web design to showcase their expertise in an elevated, modern, and user-friendly way. We envision there will be less copywriting — or wording — in web designs, yet more purposeful typography — or font choices. With a less is more approach to design, content can have more impact and meaning, allowing your visitors to feel connected to you and your business in a more effortless way.
- More multifaceted business owners. Over the years, and especially since 2020, small business owners have come to understand just how essential diversification — or offering various services and products — is within their businesses. We foresee creating web designs for more multifaceted business owners than ever before — business owners who offer a service, and may also offer a Shop, educational resources, a podcast, coaching, and beyond. In Episode 089, we explore web design for multifaceted businesses and share our strategy for ensuring your web design lifts up the diverse areas of your business.
- More focus on the business owner, less focus on the business. Along the same lines of diversification, we foresee web design will focus more on the business owner behind the business — and less on the business itself. In doing so, business owners can showcase what their client experience is like, help to create a more personal connection with their visitors, and create space for their business to grow and change. When prospective clients are shopping around from one business to another, personal connection can make all the difference. So, we foresee web designs will focus on business owners and their one-of-a-kind client experience!
