- Align your Pinterest profile with your brand. All of your social media platforms should align with your brand – including your Pinterest profile. From your profile photo to your description, ensure that your Pinterest profile aligns with your overall brand aesthetic. Doing so will help you to be perceived as a professional! Likewise, the pins you curate should be on-brand as well. Be mindful of the types of pins you’re adding to each board; they should be as reflective of your quality as possible.
- Curate boards relevant to your business offerings. When we first created our business Pinterest profile, we began pinning everything we were drawn to personally — rather than professionally. Nowadays, each board we have is relevant to our brand and to our business offerings. While we don’t have many boards, we believe in quality over quantity. We have seen our engagement skyrocket, and we’ve experienced close-to-viral pins along the way, too!
- Use hashtags. Finally, create a hashtag strategy for your pins. Because Pinterest is like a search engine, it’s important to use the correct hashtags to ensure your pins are found. Think about what people will be searching for, in order to come upon your content. Use those hashtags consistently!
