At With Grace and Gold, 99% of what we do is based online:

• We offer branding, design, and consulting for small businesses,
• We use e-mail and Google Hangout to communicate with each client we serve, and
• We use social media way more than we care to confess!

Because so much of what we do is online, it can be tough to create a ‘community’ or ‘network’ of people within or around our business. (i.e. We sit at our desks and eat chocolate while wearing yoga pants and sometimes have trouble meeting people!)

Today, we’re excited to share 5 ways to network — even when your business is based online!

5 Ways to Network — Even When Your Business is Online

1. Join a Facebook Community. On Facebook, there are a wide variety of groups and communities, designed for networking.  Joining a Facebook Community is a great way to network — right from the comfort of your own home!
2. Be bold. The truth is, we all have business owners we look up to and admire. Every month, challenge yourself to e-mail just one of those people. Ask them for advice, ask them for support, or simply tell them why you admire them. Fortune favors the bold!
3. Find a monthly meet-up in your city. Check The Rising Tide Society to see if there is a monthly meet-up in your city. Meeting in person with fellow creatives can be such an impactful experience!
4. Start a movement. Does your business have its own hashtag? Our #WITHGRACEMOVEMENT is all about celebrating grace – and giving yourself grace – every day. Our hashtag movement is something we use to build community and to network with like-minded business owners! So, start a movement and watch your network grow!
5. Attend a conference. There are so many amazing conferences to choose from. Attending a conference is a great way to get some much-needed face-to-face interaction and to surround yourself with an encouraging network! Bonus: Conferences are a great way to learn more about yourself and to gain a renewed sense of purpose!
