Above all, blogging can boost your Search Engine Optimization — or the ability for your website to be found when people use search engines like Google. Blogging, essentially, creates more “legs” for your website, and therefore, helps it to be more readily found. We recommend using WordPress for blogging — and using the plugin called Yoast SEO. That way, you can ensure every blog post is not only well-written, but is also well-designed.
- To share your work in a meaningful way. While your Portfolio is a great place to showcase your work, your blog is also a helpful place to showcase your recent work in a meaningful way. When you blog about your recent work, you can share more information about your work — what it means to your client, what it means to you, and what it means for prospective clients. This helps to build a connection between you and your prospective clients, and to show that the work you do makes a meaningful, lasting difference.
