At With Grace and Gold, we try to automate as much as we can in our business. That way, nearly all of our focus and attention is given to our Clients. However, when a vacation or break is on the horizon, it’s important to truly take time away from your business — and allow your business to continue working for you! (Please believe us when we say: Time spent away from your business is just as important as time spent working on your business!) Today, we’re sharing 5 ways to automate your business so you can truly work productively and efficiently!
5 Ways to Automate Your Business
- Automate your blog posts. At With Grace and Gold, we use WordPress, which has a very handy post Scheduling feature. When you’re composing your post simply go to the Publish section on the right, and rather than publishing immediately, click Edit, and set a date! This is something we do at the start of every week, so each post is written and posted while we can focus on our Clients!
- Automate your social media posts. There are a variety of ways to schedule your social media posts, but by far, our favorite tools include: CoSchedule, Buffer, and Later. CoSchedule and Buffer are designed for a variety of social media channels, while Later is designed for scheduling Instagram posts. Using these tools has helped us to ‘step away’ from our business and allow our social media marketing and outreach to complete itself!
- Automate your weekly newsletter. Each week, we send a newsletter! We do so using ConvertKit, which is our favorite! It has a variety of tools and resources, perfect for any business set-up. While we’re away for the holiday season, we’ll definitely use the scheduling feature to ensure a newsletter is sent!
- Automate your e-mails. At With Grace and Gold, we never use e-mail templates; we do our very best to offer a personalized experience with every e-mail we send. However, if templates work well for your business, please do use them! Canned Responses are a great Gmail tool for quickly recalling templates. However, Boomerang is our go-to tool for scheduling e-mails in advance!
- Automate your Pinterest pins. Last but certainly not least: you can automate your Pinterest pins. Many businesses rely on Pinterest for driving traffic to their businesses and blogs – and Tailwind is our go-to tool for automating Pinterest pins and ensuring our content is working for us, even while we’re away!
